Kitten trying her new harness. I don’t let her out off the patio at the apartment complex so I got a harness to safely take her exploring. Surprisingly, she doesn’t seem to mind. :) #catlyfe
gincoffee said: what kind of harness is that? do you like it? I want to try one for one of my kitties. I have tried before, but he wasn’t crazy about it, but he wants to be outdoors…sooo, we thought we might try again.
I bought this one at the pet store:PetSafe Come With Me Kitty
The others had more plastic and metal pieces that looked like they may uncomfortably rub against her spine or other areas. There was a mesh option, but it looked too restricting. This one needed a little more adjusting in the photo, but she didn’t seem to mind much. She’s skittish, so I left the door open and it took her about ten minutes to venture out once she felt comfortable. After that, she was cautious but didn’t seem hindered by the harness.
MY FIANCE IS COMING HOME FOR CHRISTMAS YEAH!
#whatveganseat pumpkin mousse cake and maple pecan pie. I’m really suffering over here #yeahright
infinai said: Oh my gosh… Do you have recipes for that deliciousness?
The recipes can be found on the Post Punk Kitchen website. Maple pecan pie, and pumpkin cheesecake. I called it a mousse cake because at room temp it is more like mousse, and I didn’t want my omni family comparing it to traditional cheesecake. I made several adjustments to that recipe based on user comments, namely omitting the orange zest and subbing 1/4 cup more pumpkin puree in place of banana. It was very good after setting overnight, but more so after 24 hours. The maple pecan pie I’ve followed exactly and it’s always devoured.
If you haven’t already seen this, PLEASE watch, it is disturbing, but if you consume animal products in any form, you really have no excuse not to watch it, if you can consume the end product, you can view the process.
EVERYONE needs to watch this
This documentary is life changing
Earthlings is my forever reblog. Watch it!
If you can’t watch your “food” being prepared because it’s too disturbing, imagine how the animals feel.
Seriously life changing
Turned my chicken-loving friend veggie and turned me vegan for life.
Please do yourself and the animals a favor and watch this. Take a break from your Netflix marathon and watch something important.
I really wish EVERYONE would watch this. Some are too afraid because they know it will change their lives. Some watch it and remain in denial so they can continue living a carefree life of convenience. Most people, I think, would be moved to at least change their diets. I’m glad my fiancé chose to watch this and said, “I can’t remember the last time I wanted to cry for an hour and a half.” All of those people who “don’t understand” being vegan need to see this. I didn’t and seeing this made it all so much more clear than any words could have.
So apparently, there’s an alarming number of tumblers who deploy these amazing, elaborate mental gymnastics to try to justify wolf hunting by saying that it’s in the wolves best interest to be hunted.
Because apparently, the most efficient way to stimulate biodiversity and a healthy, balanced wolf population is by indiscriminately killing them off.
I wanted to post this to clear any confusion that might exist.
This may be a fox blog, but I’m personally specializing in working with wolves, and this is important knowledge for those who don’t know it.
Humans move out to the country and consider the native wildlife to be pests. If you move out of the city, expect to coexist with animals. If you want to raise livestock, expect predators. If you lose money to dead livestock, invest in a more stable business. Wolves and other animals are not pests. They belong here just as much as we do, and do far more good for the ecosystem than humans do. It’s sick how selfish the human species can be.
