I’m sorry that you had to see this horrible picture but I really just want to get my point across and for people to understand.
In 2012 it was estimated that 5 million animals entered animal shelters worldwide and of those 5 million, 3.5 million were euthanised. Just let that sink in for a moment. (http://www.statisticbrain.com/animal-shelter-statistics/)
Don’t buy from breeders, don’t buy from pet stores ADOPT ANIMALS FROM ANIMAL SHELTERS PLEASE.
Every animal you buy from a breeder or a pet store means one less animal that is going to find a home from a shelter and consequently will die.
There’s this neat grocery co-op in San Diego that is all organic and vegetarian. It’s a fully stocked store with a vegan deli and bakery on the second floor. I browsed today and purchased some produce. Need to take a closer look at all of the bulk products. There’s soooo much. If you bring a reusable bag or coffee cup, you are given a raffle ticket to enter a daily drawing to win a gift card. I’m going to apply for a job there. The employees are allowed to be individuals. Plus, can we say entire store that is vegetarian? Hello. The location is nice too, just blocks from the beach.
Albertsons is set to employee me this week, but my heart and soul are saying no. The only reason Albertsons worked for me previously was due to the team of people I worked with. This new store is 30 miles away. It’s a lot of time, effort and rush hour stress for something unfulfilling. The store is super strict about dress code. I was told I can’t have my tiny nose stud. It was highlighted that no plugs or tunnels are allowed… Maybe she didn’t see mine, she didn’t mention them. These things and more were never an issue at my previous jobs, even with Albertsons. I will not be descriminated against for things that play no part in my ability to do a job I am more than qualified for.You desperately need a cake decorator but you won’t hire me, an experienced specialty cake decorator, unless I remove this tiny nose stud? Guess this isn’t the place for me. Goodbye. The pay is great, but I’m willing to take a pay cut for a job more in line with my lifestyle and beliefs. Something that won’t drain the life out of me.
Just opened a window as a bunny hopped by. Then, a skunk wobbled by. Eep! So much cute!
Yesterday I let Kitten explore outside. I sat next to the various plants and watched lil bees buzzing away gathering pollen. A hummingbird nearly flew into my face until I flinched at the last second.
I enjoy watching Kitten experience the outdoors. She doesn’t get out much so everything is always new to her. She approaches everything with caution and wonder. I likened it to people who rush through life never noticing the beauty around them. Just like myself, Kitten was throughly enjoying what so many others, cats and humans alike, don’t even take notice of.
INFMETRY star projector.
I really genuinely want this.
Oh, this is cool, but I bet it’s one of those insanely expensive things I’ll never be able to have in a million years.
Some assembly required, but it looks fun to assemble. AND THOSE RESULTS HOLY CRAP
Yep, added to my wishlist, for sure!
